ISO 27001 Certification
Information is a very important, yet constantly changing, asset for our organization and customers. The process approach of ISO 27001 helps us manage and protect it.
Loss of information, theft of confidential data, and damage of critical documents are harsh realities that can have a severe impact on business. Therefore, it is critical that any systems holding your valuable information be protected through the use of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The ISO 27001 standard provides a structure for implementing an ISMS, safeguarding your information assets while making the process easier to manage, measure, and improve. Alfa address the three dimensions of information security: Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
Alfa achieved ISO 27001 certification smoothly and efficiently. We have done more than securing a certificate: We have tools to minimize security risks to the assignment management business. The independent assurance that Alfa, customers and stakeholders demand is service audited by Intertek.
Alfa has been ISO 27001 certified since 2013. We have been assessed and registered by Intertek as conforming to the requirements of SS ISO/IEC 27001:2014.
The security management system is applicable to services on the Global market. All in accordance with Statement of applicability version. External audit of ISO 27001 is taking place annually.
ISO 14001 Certification
Increased scrutiny of industry’s effects on the environment has made compliance with ISO 14001 exceedingly important.
As we become gradually aware of climate change and environmental degradation, many eyes are turned towards businesses, with demands for it to shoulder its responsibility for our environment.
Environmental compliance is vital for Alfa, but not new. In fact, our first award for outstanding progress and commitment to environmental work was presented by Tetra Laval Group Transport and Travel back in 2005.
The continuation of our commitment to environmental dedication was the award in 2012 by The Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies, the trade organisation for the Swedish haulage industry: Alfa won the category Environment. The motivation for the award: “Alfa is a company that consequently and thoroughly has developed its organization in a way that an obvious environment work is visible in the daily business. With their customers they enable transport with as little environment impact as possible. This becomes possible due to comprehensive planning of each and every assignment, from material use and transporters standardisation for highest possible effectivity, to planning of logistics.”
ISO 14001, the international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), will help Alfa to identify, and systematically reduce, any harmful effects it may have on the environment. By developing processes to lower energy and raw materials use, reduce waste and pollution, and mitigate the risk of emergency situations, Alfa will not only continue to be environmentally friendly – Alfa will also be more profitable and efficient.
Alfa has been assessed and registered by Intertek as conforming to the requirements of SS-EN ISO 14001:2004 . The environmental management system is applicable to services within the areas moving, relocation and mobility on the global market. All in accordance with Statement of applicability version. External audit of ISO 14001 is taking place annually.
The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification is a system to ensure quality and supply chain security throughout the EU. It is a partnership between businesses and customs introduced by the World Customs Organisation (WCO). Businesses who are certified AEOs meet a range of criteria and collaborate closely with customs authorities, and enjoy benefits and simplification in trade with third countries.
Alfa’s Swedish branch is FIDI-FAIM certified. This certification requires international moving companies to regularly assess their moving activities through independent audits every three years. It ensures a set common standard in providing international moving services with quality and efficiency in mind. It also provides transparency in ensuring that the standards remain high.
OMNI (Overseas Moving Network International) is a global network of moving and relocation companies. It includes organizations who are industry leaders, provide excellent service, and have a high level of financial security.
The Federation of European Movers Associations (FEDEMAC) represents the interests of moving companies across Europe. FEDEMAC functions as the link between moving companies and European authorities, as they represent the interests of about 3.000 moving companies in 26 European countries towards authorities such as the EU Parliament and Commission, as well as national associations and trade organizations.
The British Association of Removers (BAR) is an association for moving and relocation companies with the mission to promote professional excellence in the moving industry. Some of their main tasks are developing and maintaining professional standards, providing expert training to moving companies, and offer dispute resolution.
The aim of the European Relocation Association (EURA) is to promote and enhance the services of professional mobility and relocation companies towards organizations who have globally mobile employees. They also support and advise relocation professionals and facilitate a network for knowledge exchange among members.
