Gunnar lives in both Sweden and Switzerland
Gunnar Christiani moved to Switzerland 25 years ago, there he has worked for Swedish companies up until his retirement a few years ago. That gave them the freedom to give more time to children and grandchildren, therefore he and his wife acquired a second home on Särö outside Gothenburg. - I knew they could offer high quality and had a great personal commitment, says Gunnar. They are easy to communicate with and you get the same correct information even if you are in contact with different persons in the organization.
When it was time for a new move, this time from Särö to central Gothenburg Alfa Quality Moving was contacted again and got to perform this move as well. The latest move a few years later went to an island outside Vaxholm.
- That was a more complicated move. There was only a small narrow bridge to the island and a shuttle was needed, says Gunnar. But it was handled seamlessly and elegantly. I and my wife have moved more than 20 times since we got married, so we are used to it. But now he hope that we have moved for the last time.
Anyhow it came naturally to hire Alfa Quality Moving again. They even found staff that had helped Gunnar earlier and was well aware of the family’s needs, which eased the move. - Since our children and grandchildren live in Sweden it feels naturally to have a house here. But our hearts and home is still in Switzerland after 25 years in the country. We have the great privilege to be able to choose where to live during the year. The Alps in the winter and the ocean during summer is no bad combination.
Gunnars best moving tips
- Select an experienced removal company with well-experienced staff so you don’t have to think about practicalities that are both time consuming and emotionally tough. If you are moving over country borders you have to select people that know the procedures. Don’t forget to ask for references! It’s a lot at stake if all your household goods is on a truck and something goes wrong.
